The grave clearly called down the might of the gods of thunder and lightning to protect the occupant from the forces of darkness. It is the only thing that makes sense...
It is a very sad picture, like the stone itself weeped for it's occupent.The tarnish of the stone telling it's age and anguish.A very emotional picture.
